PS2 Flip Top Cover with Swap Magic 3.6 ( PS2 Swap Magic Plus ) Boot Disk Combo V9 - v10 - Easily add the PS2 Flip Top Cover and use with swap magic disks for easy playing of all import games and more. A great package deal - no mod chip needed!

The following will help you identify what version of PlayStation 2 you have in your possesion.

Ther version 1, 2 and 3 PlayStation 2 all have 10 screws on the bottom of the unit.

SCPH30001 v1 = Serial# begins U1
SCPH30001 v2 = Serial# begins U0
SCPH30001 v3 = Serial# begins U1 Date 1A
SCPH30001 v3 = Serial# begins U2 Date 0D

The version 4, 5, 6 and 7 PlayStation 2 all have 8 screws on the bottom of the unit. The 4 and 5 also have the electrical warning stamped on the bottom of the PlayStation 2 case.

SCPH 30001 v4 = Serial# begins with U0
SCPH 30001 v4 = Serial# begins with U1
SCPH 30001 v4 = Serial# begins with U2
SCPH 30001 v4 = Serial# begins with U3
SCPH 30001 v4 = Serial# begins with U4
SCPH 30001 v4 = Serial# begins with U5
SCPH 35001 v4 = GT3 Edition

There are 3 different motherboards for the SCPH30001R - Version 4, 5 and 6
SCPH30001R v5 or v6 Motherboard
SCPH39001 v7

SCPH50001 v9 or v10 (open machine and match board to v9 or v10 diagram)

PS2 Flip Top Installation:

Unplug PS2 and place your PS2 console on a flat surface.
Remove warranty sticker located on the back of the PS2.
Turn the PS2 console over face down on the table.
Remove the screw from cover
Set PS2 console face-up, and carefully remove top cover.
The PS2 should now be in front of you.
Unscrew the 4 small screws on the CD/DVD drive tray cover and lift off.
Remove the white disk from the tray cover itself and insert it in the flip top.
Remove reset / eject switch and screw it to the flip top cover.
Slowly slide the flip top cover on PS2 making sure to NOT pinch RESET/EJECT wires (this could damage switch)
Turn PS2 face down and replace case screws
Your PS2 console should now have the flip top cover successfully installed!
